My name is Cam and I’m a multidisciplinary artist/silversmith based in St. Louis, MO. I started creating jewelry as a hobby/creative outlet while serving in the USAF.  I taught myself the ins and outs of silversmithing after leaving the military in 2015, and subsequently started my brand; Rebel and Ruse. R+R was born from my desire to explore, try new things, set own limits, see how far I can go. Outside of jewelry work I’m also a trauma psychotherapist. 

            My fascination with design has only magnified since staring R+R. Creating this brand encouraged me to integrate my passions for the arts (jewelry design, fashion, photography, styling) with my drive for social change. To quote Robert Peters, “design shapes culture, culture shapes values, values determine the future”--and my passion for creating and design is what gets me out of bed every morning.

            My work is an extension of who I am, and is heavily influenced by my Choctaw heritage, pagan beliefs, and queer identity. My line features a wide range of styles—from bold turquoise statement rings to minimalist silver necklaces. I view jewelry no different than I view fashion as a whole—it is a form of self expression, there are no rules, and there is (and should be) something for everyone.
